10 Time on feet (8:39, 8:16, 8:13, 8:12, 8:12, 8:34, 8:34, 8:38, 8:32, 7:57) 89 degree and sunny workout. Humidity wasnt as high as normal which was nice. Was feeling great and totally fought the urge to take off and run hard. I constantly reminded myself that I dont normally put in a 10 miler on Wednesday... add that to a week thats supposed to be easier than normal and I did the right thing in shutting it down for the latter miles. Its very difficult to describe in words but almost all my training runs are feeling what I like to call "automatic". Kinda like I could be running along and almost close my eyes and not have to worry about what im doing. Its kinda like the body automatically knows what to do and does it. I guess the power of repetition has kicked in with full effect. Ive only felt this way once before and that was back in 2010 when I was in really good shape. All great signs. Now I can see 20 milers in my near future.. lots of them. At least 5.. may 7. We will see how the body holds up. Crash |
